     The following is an impressive list of former Evansville North Band and Orchestra members who have gone on to success in the area of music!   North High School is very proud of its instrumental music graduates!!!

  Dave Fitzsimmons (1967, Band, Percussion) - local musician - Evansville

  Pat Moore (1968, Band, Percussion) -  Founder of Moore Music, professional musician and instructor - Evansville, Indiana

  Glenn Miller (1968, Band, Percussion) - Professional Musician at Disneyworld - Orlando, Florida

  Chuck Jarrett (1970, Band, Clarinet)  -  Band Director at Turner High School for 25 years - Cincinnati, Ohio,  Performed as lst Clarinet in the Armed Forces Bicentennial Band from Washington, DC,  2005 Inductee in the Turner HS Walk of Fame,  former performer with Evansville Philharmonic and with the Lexington, Ky. Symphony.   BME degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

  Mike Gilland (1971, Band, Orchestra, Alto Sax) - Worship Leader for 28 years (Indiana, Kentucky, Florida), Country Music DJ, Studio Musician in Orlando, Florida (wrote commercial jingles), 4 songs published and recorded 11 albums (including 5 in Nashville), teaches acoustic guitar.

  Matt Kincaid (1972, Band, French Horn, Guitar) - Free lance guitarist in Evansville, Graduate of the University of Evansville.

  Bruce Lett (1972, Orchestra, String Bass) - Free lance acoustic and electric bass player in Los Angeles, California. Graduate of University of Evansville, University of Oklahoma, and North Texas State University.

  David Eisler (1973, Band, Clarinet) - Chosen by Leonard Bernstein to be the star tenor for Candide.   David, who is deceased, won the 1987 Grammy Award for opera with his performance in Candide. He was the Drum Major of the North Marching Band his junior and senior year.

  Charles "Rusty" Briel (1975, Band, Trombone) Present ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) Executive Director, Past Director of Orchestras at Center Grove HS, Past Director of Instrumental Music at Evansville Harrison HS.

  Jeff Heiger (1980, Band, Horn)   -  Present Director of Instrumental Music at Evansville Central HS.

  Dr. Brenda Graham (1980, Band - Percussion,  Orchestra - Viola) - Received Doctor of Music Degree from Indiana University and was Auxiliary Head for Indiana University Marching Band, former Instrumental Music Teacher at Helfrich Park Middle School.   Currently a Professor of Music at Oakland City University.  Brenda has also composed and published string orchestra music, which includes her "March of the Green Brigade," written for string orchestra and published by Highland-Etling Music

  Troy Wright (1980, Band, Trumpet)  -  HS Guitar Teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio

  Max Wilkinson (1980, Band, Percussion)  -  local musician  -  Evansville

  Tim Thompson (1984, Band, Percussion)  -  Free lance percussionist and teacher - Nashville, Tennessee

  Jon Doud (1984, Band, Percussion) - Free Lance Drummer, Private Percussion Instructor, Percussionist for the Joe Ellison Band and for the New Life Church - San Francisco, California

  Gary Mielke (1985, Band, Percussion) - Studio Musician and Recording Media Specialist - Indianapolis, Indiana

  Ben Oakes (1990, Orchestra, String Bass) -  Currently the Instrumental Director at Plaza Park MS

  Holly Grant (1995, Huskettes) - Former Captain and Choreographer for Murray State Flag Corps

  Maria Scherer (1995, Orchestra, Cello) -  Bachelor of Music Education degree from University of Evansville (1999), Master of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Texas (2003), resides in Hollywood, California -  former Orchestra Director with Baldwin Park USD and an Assistant Orchestra Director with Irvine USD  -  freelance musician and private teacher in the Los Angeles area.

  Lindsay Bacurin  (1999, Band, Clarinet)  -  Ball State University Graduate  -  Performs with the Compton Heights Band of St. Louis, Missouri

  Dr. Rick Bernhardt (1999, Band, Trumpet) -  Former Instructor for Green Brigade, graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine  - member of IU Singing Hoosiers

  Rachelle Campbell (1999, Huskettes) - Member of Indiana Univ. Band Flag Corps

  Lauren Flittner (1999, Orchestra, Viola) - Music Major - University of Iowa

  Melissa Jones (1999, Huskettes) - Past captain of the Indiana State University Band Flag Corps. Local auxiliary instructor for area high school marching bands.

  Staci Noffsinger (2000, Huskettes) -  chosen to participate in 1999 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Former Auxiliary Instructor for Evansville Bosse High School.

  Rory Brown (2000, Band, Percussion) - former percussion instructor for the Green Brigade. Rory performs on drum set with his Christian group, "Rock Salt." The group has recorded their own CD.

  Melissa Kuhlenhoelter (2002, Band, Clarinet and Tuba) - Music Education Major at Southern Utah University. Tuba player in the Marching Thunderbirds Band.

  Caitlin Bradley (2003, Band, Percussion) -  University of Cincinnati Marching Band Drum Line on snare.

  Ashley Creekmur (2003, Band, Mellophone/Flute) -  Murray State University Marching Band on mellophone

  Alex Smith (2003, Band, Trumpet)  -  Music Education Major at Univ. of Evansville

  Tara Chatmon (2003, Band, Tenor Sax)  -  Music Education Major at Univ. of Evansville

  Noah Stubbs (2004, Band, Trumpet) -  Music Education Major at Univ. of Evansville
