EVSC Honors Band and Honors Orchestra - The audition date for EVSC Honors Band and Honors Orchestra will be posted on the calendar of events with audition music available approximately three weeks prior. Groups rehearse for three hours once a week for approximately nine weeks from November through January. Performances have previously included a three day tour to a major metropolitan area (Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, etc.), a local concert, and a performance at the annual “This is Our Story” at Roberts Stadium.

EVSC Honors Jazz Ensemble - Auditions are typically in mid March with distributed three weeks prior. Following spring break, this group rehearses two hours once a week for six consecutive weeks. Performances have included a local tour, local concert, and at the annual “This is Our Story”.

Indiana Bandmasters Association (IBA) All-Region and All-District Bands - Students wishing to be considered for the All-Region or the All-District bands are encouraged to visit the IBA web site for application, audition music and schedule information. All-Region Band is for freshmen bandsmen with All-District Band geared for sophomore, junior, and senior musicians. Rehearsals and performances are held for one weekend only in mid November. Membership in these organizations is a great resume builder for college scholarship applications.

Indiana All-State Orchestra - The Indiana All-State Orchestra is organized by the State Orchestra Teachers Association in conjunction with the Indiana Music Educators Association convention that is held in Indianapolis each January. The Orchestra forwards audition materials in May of each year to eligible students who are enrolled in their school’s band/orchestra programs. Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra - Since 1993, the Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra has offered performance opportunities to area high school and middle school students. There are two groups; a high school orchestra for grades 9 through 12 and a junior high orchestra (EPYO II) for students in grades 6 through 8 with the next performance being held on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
